| Their are two main associations for Microlights in Australia. Each association operates within strict guidelines laid out by Civil Aviation Safety Authority (CASA) controlled by the Australian Government. Many Trike pilots are members of both these associations and others choose one or the other. Gawler Microlights Training Facility operates under the HGFA syllabus. The HGFA or Hang Gliding Federation Australia is the main association directly relative to Trikes, and is the only association with Trike flight instructors in South Australia. Any person who is currently a private pilot with the Australian Ultralight Federation can still join the HGFA and get a Trike endorsement. There are also some other Associations relative to Ultralights and Ultralight building, and some of these are also listed below. | |
